Project Archive: Image Building Project (HLF)

In December 2010, following two years planning and research, SWiB successfully aquired Heritage Lottery Funding to relocate to bigger and better premises.

The project, which will be developed over a two year period, will enable SWiB to have an seperate public access space and gallery area to show-case our collections and to encourage learning and interpretation of those collections; effective storage for the ongoing preservation of the growing collections; and the creation of a formal outreach and community engagement programme undertaken by an appointed project Outreach Assistant.

In June 2011 SWiB transferred from its previous location in Looe Street across to the new premises on the Parade.
